A Treatment Hospital that’s More than a Hospital
The word “hospital” conjures up all sorts of images and thoughts. Perhaps some are negative and some positive. Regardless of what it makes an individual think of, we can all agree that hospitals are there to serve and help people who need medical and/or mental health assistance. And those battling a substance use disorder, or an alcohol use disorder, are some of the very individuals who can use this help.
Laguna Treatment Hospital, an American Addiction Centers’ treatment facility, is a hospital located in sunny California. The Golden State is home to many treatment centers, and Laguna shines as one of the state’s accredited facilities with compassionate medical professionals ready to assist individuals with their battles against substance and alcohol use disorders.
Laguna takes service a step further. Between the recreational activities and the nutritious meals, patients attending this facility are made to feel welcomed, cared for, and at home. And it’s hard not to feel at home with the delicious farm-to-table meals prepared by Laguna’s award-winning executive chef who enjoys using locally sourced ingredients.
And don’t forget… staying active is equally important as eating well. A fitness center is available, as well as music therapy, art therapy, and yoga. And we aren’t expecting patients to remain active 24 hours a day. During the downtimes, individuals can read, watch TV, or play games in the lounge rooms, or even venture to the outdoor patios where there are smoking and non-smoking areas.
Even though Laguna is a hospital, the facility is fully integrated with residential treatment and stands out as the first licensed Chemical Dependency Recovery Hospital in Orange County.
In order to be accommodating to as many individuals as possible, the staff speaks a variety of languages. English and Spanish are always available 24/7, but during business hours, Laguna also offers Russian, Bengali, Arabic, and Chaldean. And within 24-48 hours, we can make available over 25 other languages, including Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese), Farsi, French, Italian, Vietnamese, Hindi, Korean, and Tier 1 American Sign Language (ASL) to name just a few. Our goal is to be able to help as many individuals as possible who are struggling with alcohol or drug addictions. Communication shouldn’t be a barrier for people to get the critical and urgent help that they need to get sober.
And although Laguna’s double rooms are standard, we offer the option to upgrade to a single occupancy for additional privacy. Both single and double rooms are fully furnished with en suite bathrooms. However, single room occupants enjoy access to their own mini-fridge, in-room coffee maker, upgraded linens, and for a small fee, a television.
Laguna Treatment Hospital welcomes individuals with open arms to help them get on the road to recovery. If an individual is battling a substance use disorder or an alcohol use disorder, help is near. Sometimes it simply takes one step at a time while surrounded by supportive people to let individuals know that they are not alone in this battle.
