Newsweek Again Recognizes Laguna’s Quality Program

Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Addiction Treatment Centers 2023 highlights the nation’s top facilities based on criteria that include: quality of service, reputation, and accreditation relative to in-state competition.

This is the fourth year in a row that Laguna Treatment Hospital has made the list. This recognition reflects Laguna’s ongoing commitment to providing quality care for those struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders.

The list of best addiction treatment providers was made in partnership with Statista Inc., a research firm. Treatment centers on Newsweek’s list were evaluated by:

• Recommendations from experts: Thousands of medical experts (therapists, counselors, medical doctors, administration, and staff working in addiction treatment facilities) were invited to participate in an online peer-to-peer survey about treatment programs.
• Quality score: Participants were also asked to rank the quality of care, taking into account treatment at the facility, follow-up care, facility accommodations, and amenities available for patients.
• Accreditations: Accreditation information was pulled from data provided by The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
