Tanya Hauer, MSW, ACSW, a clinically trained behavioral health therapist and group facilitator, started at Laguna Treatment Center in November 2025. She brings a trauma-informed, whole-person approach to care, with specialized experience in nervous system regulation, experiential therapies, and sustainable recovery.

Tanya’s clinical background spans residential treatment, school-based environments, and community mental health settings. In these roles, she led process groups and psychoeducational programming focused on emotional awareness, resilience, and healing. Her work integrates somatic-informed practices that help individuals reconnect with their bodies, build self-trust, and develop tools for long-term recovery.

As an EAGALA-certified equine-assisted psychotherapy practitioner and a certified yoga instructor Tanya actively supports Laguna Treatment Center’s equine therapy and yoga therapy offerings. Through the center’s partnership with Brave Grace, Tanya helps deliver trauma-informed equine-assisted psychotherapy that uses the horse-human connection to foster insight, safety, and emotional growth.

As someone in long-term personal recovery, Tanya brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work. She believes recovery is not simply about stopping harmful behaviors, but about learning to regulate the nervous system, rebuilding trust in oneself, and discovering that healing is possible.
