Barbara Saak is an accomplished healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Saack holds significant expertise in the areas of corporate and regulatory compliance, risk management, quality and healthcare operations. In addition to her expansive background in operational leadership, Saak is also a registered nurse, adding a deeper level of knowledge and understanding to her role as interim CEO of Laguna Treatment Hospital.

Prior to joining Laguna Treatment Hospital, a considerable portion of Saak’s career required her to be responsible for governing the clinical quality and regulatory compliance initiatives for a number of hospital systems, including Loma Linda University Health and numerous facilities within the multinational healthcare services system Tenet Healthcare. For multiple organizations, Saak was responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring regulatory compliance measures at the corporate, state and federal levels, managing operational privacy and information security, and ensuring rigorous quality of care standards were met.
