Eric Patterson, MSCP, NCC, LPC, is a professional counselor who has been working for over a decade to help children, adolescents, and adults in western Pennsylvania reach their goals and improve their well-being.

Emily Guarnotta, PsyD

Emily Guarnotta holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and has a special interest in treating and spreading awareness on drug, alcohol, and behavioral addictions. She has clinical experience working with dual diagnosis clients in residential and outpatient settings, older adults in nursing homes, and clients with severe mental illness.

Ryan Kelley, NREMT

Ryan Kelley is a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician and the former managing editor of the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS). Joy Sutton, director of corporate communications for American Addiction Centers, started her career as a journalist. She served as the health reporter/anchor for CBS affiliate WDBJ for more than a decade. Other career highlights include covering the impeachment hearings of President Bill Clinton and the Virginia Tech shootings as well as launching her own television talk show.

After leaving the news business, she worked as a marketing communications manager for HCA Southwest Virginia for several years prior to joining American Addiction Centers in 2016.

Joy is a proud graduate of Howard University where she received her degree in journalism. She also holds a Master’s degree in Health Promotions from Virginia Tech.

Lindsey received her B.A. in Humanities from Kentucky Christian University with a Minor in History and a focus on Spanish Language studies. In 2014, Lindsey was awarded a Master Instructional Designer certification from the Association for Training and Development (ATD) and holds a Performance Consultant certification from the same organization.

Sophie Stein, A.P.R.N.

Sophie Stein is a Clinical Editor at American Addiction Centers.

She received her Master of Science in nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. She is credentialed by the ANCC as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (P.M.H.N.P.) and is licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse. Sophie previously worked as a P.M.H.N.P. at an outpatient psychiatric practice providing mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults.
